The developer ("Operator") establishes this Privacy Policy ("Policy") regarding the handling of user information, including personal information, in the smartphone app "5-Minute Novel" ("Service").

Article 1 (Information Acquired)

The Operator acquires the following information when providing the Service:

  1. Information from external services (X, Apple ID): Identifier (UID), display name, profile image, and account name (screen name) provided by the authentication provider.
  2. Usage history and input data: Posted works, summaries, comments, follow/block status, likes, bookmarks, and other history within the Service.
  3. Purchase Information: In-app purchase history (Apple Inc. manages confidential payment info like credit cards; the Operator does not acquire or retain this).
  4. Device and Log Information: Anonymous data such as crash logs and usage environment (OS version) for quality improvement.

Article 2 (Purpose of Use)

The acquired information is used for the following purposes:

  1. To provide features of the Service (login, posting/viewing works, My Page, etc.).
  2. To facilitate communication features (likes, follows, etc.).
  3. To review and respond to reports of malicious users or inappropriate content.
  4. To manage the provision and status of paid items (e.g., Premium Likes).
  5. To maintain the Service, fix bugs, and create statistical data for service improvement.
  6. To respond to user inquiries.

Article 3 (Third-Party Provision)

The Operator will not provide personal information to third parties without the user's prior consent, except in the following cases:

  1. When required by law.
  2. When necessary to protect human life, body, or property, and obtaining consent is difficult.
  3. When necessary for public health or the sound development of children.
  4. When responding to formal requests from public authorities (police, courts, etc.).

Article 4 (Use of External Modules/Services)

The Service uses the following external services for data storage, authentication, and payments. Data is handled according to their respective privacy policies:

Article 5 (Account Deletion and Data Erasure)

If a user deletes their account from the settings, their authentication and linked data will be promptly deleted from the database. However, works posted prior to deletion will remain on the Service as anonymous data, with the author info replaced by "Anonymous".

Article 6 (Prohibition of Reverse Engineering and Data Extraction)

To protect user privacy and Service data, reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the app is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, unauthorized access to the database (Firebase) using means other than standard app operation to extract, collect, or alter user data is a severe violation. Legal action will be taken upon discovery.

Article 7 (Disclaimer)

The Operator assumes no responsibility for third-party acquisition of personal information in the following cases:

  1. When the user voluntarily publishes personal identifying information within the app.
  2. When the account is compromised due to insufficient management of the user's device or SNS account.

Article 8 (Changes to Privacy Policy)

The Operator may modify this Policy without prior notice. The updated Policy becomes effective when posted within the Service or on a designated website.

プライバシーポリシー

運営者（以下「当方」といいます）は、スマートフォン向けアプリ「5分小説」（以下「本アプリ」といいます）における、ユーザーの個人情報を含む利用者情報の取扱いについて、以下のとおりプライバシーポリシー（以下「本ポリシー」といいます）を定めます。

第1条（取得する情報および取得方法）

当方は、本アプリの提供にあたり、以下の情報を取得します。

  1. 外部サービス（Xアカウント、Apple ID）からの提供情報：ユーザーが本アプリにログインする際、認証プロバイダから提供される識別子（UID）、表示名、アイコン画像、アカウント名（スクリーンネーム）等。
  2. 本アプリの利用履歴・入力データ：ユーザーが本アプリ内で送信した投稿作品、あらすじ、コメント、フォロー状況、ブロック設定、いいね・しおり等の履歴情報。
  3. 購入に関する情報：アプリ内課金（プレミアムいいね等）の購入履歴（※クレジットカード情報等の決済そのものに関わる機密情報はApple社が管理し、当方は取得・保持しません）。
  4. 端末情報およびログ情報：本アプリの品質向上のため、クラッシュログや利用環境（OSバージョン等）の匿名データを取得する場合があります。

第2条（情報の利用目的）

当方が取得した情報は、以下の目的で利用いたします。

  1. 本アプリの機能（ログイン、作品の投稿・閲覧、マイページの表示等）を提供するため
  2. ユーザー間のコミュニケーション機能（いいね、フォロー等）を円滑に提供するため
  3. 悪質なユーザーのブロックや、利用規約に違反する不適切な投稿（通報機能による報告）の確認・対応を行うため
  4. プレミアムいいね等の有料アイテムの提供および適用状況を管理するため
  5. 本アプリの保守、バグ修正、およびサービス向上のための統計データ作成のため
  6. ユーザーからのお問い合わせに対応するため

第3条（個人情報の第三者提供）

当方は、次に掲げる場合を除き、あらかじめユーザーの同意を得ることなく、第三者に個人情報を提供することはありません。

  1. 法令に基づく場合
  2. 人の生命、身体または財産の保護のために必要がある場合であって、本人の同意を得ることが困難であるとき
  3. 公衆衛生の向上または児童の健全な育成の推進のために特に必要がある場合
  4. 警察、裁判所等の公的機関から法令に基づく正式な照会を受けた場合

第4条（外部モジュール・サービスの利用）

本アプリでは、データの保存やユーザー認証、決済のために以下の外部サービスを利用しており、各社の定めるプライバシーポリシーに従ってデータが取り扱われます。

第5条（アカウント削除とデータの消去）

ユーザーが本アプリ内の設定から「退会（アカウント削除）」を実行した場合、データベース上のユーザー認証情報および連携データは速やかに削除されます。ただし、退会前にユーザーが投稿した作品データについては、作者情報が「名無し」に置き換えられた匿名データとして本アプリ内に保存され続けます。

第6条（データの不正取得およびリバースエンジニアリングの禁止）

ユーザーのプライバシー情報および本アプリのデータを保護するため、利用者が本アプリのプログラムをリバースエンジニアリング、逆コンパイル、逆アセンブル等して解析する行為を固く禁じます。また、当方が管理するデータベース（Firebase等）に対して、通常のアプリ操作以外の手段を用いて不正にアクセスし、他のユーザーの情報を抽出、収集、または改ざんする行為は重大な規約・ポリシー違反とし、発見次第、法的措置を含む厳格な対応を行います。

第7条（免責事項）

以下の場合は、第三者による個人情報の取得に関し、当方は一切の責任を負いません。

  1. ユーザー本人が、本アプリの投稿作品内やプロフィール等に自ら個人を特定できる情報（氏名、住所、連絡先等）を入力・公開した場合
  2. ユーザーの端末やSNSアカウントの管理不十分により、第三者にアカウントを不正利用された場合

第8条（プライバシーポリシーの変更）

当方は、必要に応じて本ポリシーの内容を事前の通知なく変更できるものとします。変更後のプライバシーポリシーは、本アプリ内または所定のウェブサイトに掲載された時点から効力を生じるものとします。
